MY SWIM JOURNEY...

My open-water journey began in 2013 when I became Editor of 220 Triathlon magazine. I didn't learn to swim as a kid, so had to go from complete non-swimmer to competing in open water in just a few short months. So I really understand how it feels to be a nervous newbie as an adult!

In the years since then I've fallen in love with swimming in lakes, oceans and rivers and am passionate about sharing that love with other swimmers. I recognise that whether you need coaching to give you the confidence to dip your toe for the first time, or to gain the edge in a triathlon swim, a friendly face can make a big difference!

In 2022 my main goal is to swim the Chillswim Lake District Triple (Coniston, Ullswater and Windermere).

QUALIFICATIONS

I qualified as an STA Level 2 Open-Water Swim Coach in June 2021 after completing the course run by Olympian Keri-anne Payne and Straight-Line Swimming. I have also completed my Level 2 Powerboat Skills Course and the Foundation Safety and Rescue Training (FSRT) course as well as First Aid training.
