I offer small-group workshops and 1-2-1 coaching sessions. Send me an email if you would like to discuss something bespoke, I can usually help! You will already need to be able to swim 400m in the pool and to tread water to be coached in open-water.

Please sign up to my newsletter to be notified first about upcoming sessions and venues.

Designed for swimmers who want to try open water but are anxious about being in a lake for the first time, this 30-minute session is designed to give you an easy introduction and plenty of confidence!

I'll meet you when you arrive at the venue and answer any questions you have, before taking you through a short guided swim (completely at your pace). We'll stay close to the shore and aim to relax in the water and have an enjoyable first dip!

Available at Lake 86 and Lake 62 in the Cotswold Water Park.

£30 per 30-minute session including lake entry and loan of
tow float (£23 for swimmers who are already members of Lake 86).

Once you are confident swimming in open-water, you may want to start improving your skills! Before this 45-minute session we'll chat about what you want to achieve and the session will be tailored just for you. We can cover front crawl technique, open-water skills such as sighting or race skills including deep water starts and drafting.

Available at Lake 86 and Lake 62 in the Cotswold Water Park.

£40 per 45-minute session including lake entry and loan of
tow float (£33 for swimmers who are already members of Lake 86).

Escape the pool and enjoy swimming outdoors!

Keen to try open-water swimming but lacking in confidence? Or just want to make sure you have the knowledge and skills you need to stay safe? These fun, relaxed, group sessions at SWMA/Cromhall Quarry are perfect for you then! We start with a group chat and Q&A, before taking to the water together for a group dip or short swim with full safety and lifeguard support. There's then tea and cake as we warm up and share our experiences!

Twice monthly (usually Tuesday evenings) from 6pm-8pm

If you're keen to learn more about open-water swimming but are unable to come for coaching, then I'm also offering
1-2-1 sessions over Zoom!

In these 40-minute chats there will be plenty of time for you to ask questions and we can cover safety, confidence, race prep and kit choices. I also run winter/cold-water swimming seminars from October to March.

£25 with flexibility on dates/times.

Booking T&Cs

To join me for an open-water coaching session I ask that you can swim at least 400m in the pool and can confidently tread water. Open-water coaching is not for non-swimmers (though I can recommend pool swim teachers if you are a complete beginner). You will need a brightly-coloured swim hat and a tow float for safety
(tow floats are a great bit of kit so I'd really recommend one and have some for sale if you need one, or have a
limited number to loan out on the day for beginners).

If you need to cancel or reschedule a 1-2-1 session I ask for 48 hours' notice and I'll issue you with a refund or
change the time/date of your session. For workshop places, I ask for a bit more notice (see email when you book), though I often have a wait list, so contact me asap if you can't make it and I'll try to fill your place so you can defer/receive a refund. Life happens!

If you are poorly, please let me know asap. Swimming in cold water put extra stress on your body and isn't advised if you are not well. I will send out a pre-session form to capture your emergency contact details and to find out about any pre-existing health conditions you may have. Please never arrive to a session after drinking alcohol.

I include lake entry (usually £8 at Lake 62 or £7 at Lake 86) in your session price. Session prices are reduced for clients who already have a swim membership at Lake 86.
